Position
Accountable for developing and delivering a community-based falls prevention exercise programme across a designated area of Oxfordshire. Using your knowledge of falls prevention and Postural Stability Instructor training, deliver in person and online class-based exercise to support older adults to reduce their risk of falls. Along with increasing the uptake of physical activity. Enabling them to maintain their physical and mental wellbeing, strength, and balance and to live longer better.
The role supports the delivery of one of our key strategic goals: Understand how inequalities develop as we get older, and work to prevent their impact on health and wellbeing.
We are actively looking for South Oxfordshire (Henley and Didcot areas). However, if you are interested and live in another area of Oxfordshire please submit your application or contact us to discuss further.
Requirements
Hours: 21 hours a week. Permanent contract. Working, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Salary: £13.42 - £14.42

Other Information
Reporting to our Physical Activity Manager the postholder will play a key role in enabling us to achieve our bold falls prevention ambitions. Duties will include;
* Responsible for and delivery of a programme of evidence-based falls prevention exercise classes and education, both in person in the designated area and online, using Postural Stability Instructor training.
* Conduct baseline and completion assessments at exit, alongside providing maintenance advice and signposting community classes. Document created July 2025
* Supervise and support Older Adults Exercise Educators, delivering falls prevention.
* Supporting, through telephone calls, the triage of referred clients to ensure they are signposted and enrolled to the most appropriate intervention. 5. Responsible for and delivery of a programme of community exercise classes at selected community venues in the designated area and online.
* Collate and maintain accurate participant, attendance, and outcome records in accordance with organisation and funders requirements.
* Ensure Health & Safety is maintained at all delivery venues and to act as an Emergency First Aider should the need arise.
* Contribute to the continued development of a vibrant, engaging, and successful physical activity programme
