Health and safety manager

Health and Safety Manager Finchampstead Circa £60,000 plus £7,000 Car Allowance and Excellent Benefits Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a large, high-profile specialist contractor to recruit a Health and Safety Manager. The company is family run and has been established nearly 30 years covering the Home Counties and South region of the UK. This role will work closely with the health and safety team and will oversee multiple sites. Responsibilities for the Health and Safety Manager will include: Ensuring sites are compliant with both UK legislation and the organisation's strategy for health, and safety through supporting site management and their teams Visiting sites and engaging with teams and site managers, ensuring responsibilities are clear and answering technical Health and Safety related enquires Engaging with the client and other external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact The successful Health and Safety Manager will have: Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within asbestos removal, civil engineering or demolition NEBOSH (or equivalent) and membership of IOSH Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities A strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation, compliance and regulations A UK Driver's license is essential.
