Job Description
The Army National Guard uses a wide range of systems that help protect and serve the force. As a Quartermaster and Chemical Equipment Repairer, you’ll ensure these systems operate at peak performance.
You will support the maintenance of chemical decontamination equipment and quartermaster machinery. Your training will include maintaining laundry and bath equipment, pumps, engines, burners, filter units, and water purification units. Your skills will contribute to maintaining special purpose equipment, decontamination and protective filter systems, smoke generator systems, and chemical electrical systems.

Through your training, you will develop skills applicable to civilian careers in marine transportation, commercial fishing, oil exploration, and drilling industries. You may consider a future as a marine engine mechanic.
Earn While You Learn

After 10 weeks of Basic Training, you will attend 12 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT), which includes hands-on and classroom instruction in marine engine maintenance, internal combustion engine theory, and tool use and care.

Requirements
* Enlistment in the Army National Guard
* High school diploma, GED, or current enrollment as a junior in high school
* Ages 17-35
