The Role:
We're looking for a Production Technician to join us
This is an exciting role for people that love being hands-on with niche, technical and delicate components, building different products across quantum-sensing and cold atom technology and scaling our in-house small batch manufacturing efforts.
What You'll Do:
* Support the main production efforts of the company, across multiple different products
* Production process development and refinement
* Skills dissemination and teamwork
* Work with R&D teams to advise on production processes and design considerations
* Handling and processing of highly sensitive electronic, optoelectronic, and optical components
* Test and evaluation of system and sub-system assemblies
What We Are Looking For:
* We are open to school leavers with A-Levels or equivalent in technical subjects, Graduates, OR people with experience working in industry in a similar role.
* Practical proficiency – ability to understand the nature of the different parts/components and their handling sensitivities. Comfortable being hands on and dexterity for constructing intricate components including optics.
* Quality control and attention to detail in practice and documentation – Production and documentation of components, awareness of defects in processes, assemblies and components, and ensuring that products meet specifications.
* Process driven – Ability to follow manufacturing process documentation, demonstrating attention to detail and rigor.
* Technical aptitude and troubleshooting – Ability to notice, diagnose, and document possible issues in production and quality control aspects. Ability to communicate effectively on potential solutions, and progress to implementation
* Tidiness and awareness of safety and risk management
