We are committed to listening, hearing and understanding children and young people in Devon. This job role has a particular emphasis on young people in and leaving care and those involved in social care proceedings (aged 10-25).
As a locality Participation worker for South and West Devon, you will lead and co-ordinate work to ensure that children and young people in this region are at the heart of our policy and decision making.
You will be highly skilled at planning and delivering group youth sessions and building relationships with children and young people in a range of settings that are inclusive, accessible and empowering.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the Council, all education settings and our wider youth partnerships to champion and embed high quality participation and engagement principles that achieve real change and positive impact for children/young people and their families.
This role is an internal secondment to cover staff absence with the option of applying for the permanent position after 6 months.
