Essentials: The ability to drive is essential for this post.
Qualifications: QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards) and experience of leading a team within the care sector. You will also need to understand the care sector regulatory framework, service delivery with excellent working knowledge of the essential standards and statutory inspections in social care. You will play a key role in staff development, service delivery, and maintaining care standards.

Full job description
As Deputy Manager, you will help lead a dedicated team in delivering exceptional, person‑centred care to vulnerable adults. You’ll play a key role in ensuring operational excellence, staff development, and the highest standards of support for individuals with complex needs. You will support the manager to look after a flat‑led model where support is provided to those in our care at this service.
Role and Responsibilities
* Deliver compassionate, person‑centred care to vulnerable adults, enhancing their quality of life.
* Support the Manager in implementing policies, procedures, and service objectives.
* Lead operations in the Manager’s absence, ensuring continuity and high standards.
* Maintain and evaluate care records to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
* Supervise and support staff development through training, mentoring, and appraisals.
* Monitor care quality across the team, promoting best practices.
* Facilitate meaningful activities that promote dignity, independence, and well‑being.
* Work flexibly on a rota, including early, late, night, and weekend shifts.
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues, responding promptly to operational needs.
* Commit to excellence in care for individuals with mental health conditions, complex needs, and learning disabilities.
Experience
You will need to have a QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards), with solid experience in the care sector and regulatory standards. Strong leadership, digital, and relationship‑building skills are essential, along with a passion for supporting individuals with complex needs and committed to delivering person‑centred care.
