Loungeable is a part of Continental Textiles, an established fashion business that also manages the sister brand South Beach. Both brands serve international retailers and wholesalers, with Loungeable specialising in fashion forward sleepwear and loungewear. As we continue to expand, we seek a dynamic Junior Buyer to become part of our innovative and fast-paced team.
The Role:
As Junior Buyer, you'll play a key role in driving product development and category growth.
You'll focus on our Loungeable brand across nightwear, loungewear and casualwear for women, men and children. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious professional to develop their buying career and make a meaningful impact on our expanding business.
Reporting directly to the Senior Buyer, you'll work collaboratively with Design, Retail Merchandisers, suppliers, and other key stakeholders to deliver outstanding products and strong margins.
Key responsibilities include:
· Range Development: Working collaboratively with Design, developing ranges to ensure product offerings meet customer requirements and brand standards.
· Product Strategy: Negotiating cost prices and managing the costing process to ensure competitive and profitable pricing.
· Sales Insight: Working alongside the Retail Merchandising team through selections, adapting to sales data and quickly responding to market trends.
· Trading & Planning: Contributing to weekly trade meetings, offering insights on department performance and proposing strategies for upcoming ranges and opportunities.
· Team Leadership: Supporting and developing junior team members, helping to nurture a collaborative and productive environment.
· Supplier Relationships: Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring clear and efficient communication.
About You:
We seek an individual who demonstrates creative talent in product development and possesses a strong awareness of commercial opportunities.
You should be proactive, adaptable, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
You'll bring the following:
· A minimum of 4 years' experience in a buying role.
· Prior experience in nightwear, loungewear and casuals.
· Strong commercial acumen and a customer-focused mindset.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with retail costing.
· Strong communication skills and an ability to build solid relationships with internal teams and external partners.
· A creative ability and mindset with a drive to develop products that contribute to category growth.
· Ability to work independently and pro-actively whilst managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
