About the Role
As a Mechanical Design Draughtsperson for NOV Rig Technologies, Aftermarket Operations, you will create and maintain 2D/3D mechanical designs and detailed drawings across a wide range of NOV products. Working primarily in Creo, with additional use of AutoCAD, Inventor, and SolidWorks, you will generate accurate part, weldment, and assembly drawings while managing associated Bills of Materials (BOMs) within NOV's controlled data systems. This role demands a strong attention to detail, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and strict adherence to established engineering and document control standards.

Key Responsibilities
* Produce and check accurate 2D and 3D drawings, models, and assemblies to ISO (BS8888) standards
* Participate in design review meetings, understanding the commercial and technical implications of design decisions
* Ensure compliance with internal checking, approval, and document control procedures
* Maintain document numbering, revision control, and proper storage using Windchill and other NOV systems
* Collaborate with Mechanical Design Engineers to develop drawings, BOMs, and project deliverables
* Review and incorporate feedback, reporting design changes affecting cost or schedule
* Contribute to the resolution and documentation of engineering queries
* Attend internal and client meetings, ensuring a customer-focused and professional representation of NOV
* Comply with NOV HSE policies and procedures; maintain high standards of housekeeping
* Support other departments and undertake additional duties as required
Optional / Desirable: Electrical Drafting
* Create or revise wiring diagrams, interconnect schematics, and cable schedules
* Assist in integrating electrical and mechanical systems
* Liaise with electrical, controls, and instrumentation engineers to ensure alignment
Facility/Group Specific Responsibilities
* Support Aftermarket Engineering projects by producing accurate documentation for modifications, upgrades, and repairs
* Deliver quality outputs efficiently to support global Field Engineering and customer requirements
Qualifications & Skills
* Degree or diploma in Engineering Design, Apprenticeship in mechanical draughting, or equivalent industry experience
* Proficiency in 3D drawing software with ability to create ISO (BS8888)-compliant drawings
* Experience with PDM systems such as Windchill
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Creo, SolidWorks, or Inventor
* Understanding of BOM creation and database maintenance
Interpersonal Skills
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Effective communication and collaboration across departments
* Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical schematics, diagrams, and layouts
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
