Year 6 Interventions Teaching Assistant - Primary School

Pay: £106 per day
Spencer Clarke Group are working closely with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Skelmersdale who are seeking a dedicated Year 6 Interventions Teaching Assistant to join their team from January 2026 for the remainder of the academic year.
This role is ideal for a confident and motivated teaching assistant who is passionate about helping pupils reach their full potential, particularly in the run-up to SATs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver targeted Maths and English interventions to small groups and individual Year 6 pupils.
* Support the class teacher in preparing pupils for their SATs assessments.
* Track pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective support for all learners.
* Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that builds confidence and resilience.
* Assist with general classroom duties and provide additional support when required.
Requirements:
* Experience supporting upper KS2 pupils, ideally in Year 6.
* Knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum and the expectations of SATs preparation.
* Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* A patient, proactive, and adaptable approach to supporting learning.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
