Attleboro Enterprises Inc. serves the residential and day program needs of adult individuals with developmental disabilities and vocational rehabilitative needs in Southeast MA.
Position Overview
The Direct Care Professional will assist program participants in developing daily living skills, attaining goals and objectives stated in the Individual Service Plan, and promoting a positive image in the community.
Responsibilities
* Support, educate and/or train residents in developing daily living skills including cooking and housecleaning.
* Promote healthy living with residents by educating individuals on diet and exercise.
* Facilitate community integration by transporting and supervising individuals in activities including religious services, cultural events, recreational activities, banking, medical appointments and employment.
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalency.
* MAP certification or willingness to complete certification within the first 90 days of employment.
* An acceptable CORI record.
* Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
* Respect for confidentiality of all communications required within job duties, including client/employee records, documents, and electronic transmission by voice data and wire.
* Experience with multicultural/multilingual populations and multidisciplinary teams.
Schedule and Compensation
Variety of hours available in our Lakeville, Swansea, and Somerset residential homes.
Starting rate is $21.00 hourly; $21.50 with MAP certification. 5% differential rate for weekend hours.
