Full-Time | Remote | Warehouse Labor / Third-Party Logistics
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile IT Systems Specialist to support our fast-paced warehouse labor and 3PL operations. This role is responsible for delivering hands‑on technical support, managing hardware and equipment, developing and maintaining databases, building reports, and supporting the technology that keeps our workforce running efficiently.
The ideal candidate is a problem‑solver who can move seamlessly between help desk support, system development, and technical project execution.
The position will be remote, but the candidate selected must reside in one of the following states: Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Washington, Texas, or Tennessee.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Systems Administration
Provide technical support to warehouse operations, supervisors, and corporate users.
Troubleshoot issues with laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, time clocks, and network-connected equipment.
Set up, image, and configure laptops and other hardware.
Maintain user accounts, permissions, and security settings across company systems.
Hardware & Equipment Management
Manage inventory of laptops, scanners, tablets, networking components, and related warehouse technology.
Perform routine equipment maintenance, updates, and replacements.
Coordinate equipment deployment to warehouse sites across multiple locations.
Database Development & Maintenance
Build, support, and enhance internal databases used for workforce management, timekeeping, scheduling, productivity tracking, and client reporting.
Execute database upgrades, patching, optimization, and performance tuning.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and system reliability.
Develop automated tools, scripts, and applications to support operations.
Integrate systems and data sources to improve operational efficiency.
Reporting & Analytics
Create, run, and maintain reports for staffing, productivity, payroll, attendance, and client metrics.
Analyze operational data and present findings to leadership.
Support the development of dashboards and automated reporting tools.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
Lead or support IT projects including new system rollouts, upgrades, security improvements, and process automation.
Document procedures, workflows, and technical instructions.
Partner with operations leadership to evaluate technology needs and propose solutions.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or database management (warehouse/3PL experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of Windows systems, networking basics, and hardware troubleshooting.
Experience with SQL databases (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.).
Ability to write scripts or code for automation and system enhancements.
Experience with reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Crystal Reports, Excel/Pivot, etc.).
Familiarity with warehouse technology (RF scanners, time clocks, label printers).
Strong communication skills and ability to support non-technical users.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
