Purpose of the Role
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for sampling, field testing, and specimen preparation for Concrete, Asphalt, and Quarry products in accordance with relevant British standards and company procedures. The role involves maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction through continuous assurance and improvement of our product portfolio and technical services by developing, documenting, and maintaining a comprehensive quality management program. You will work as part of a team with remote supervision, ensuring high standards and attention to detail.
Key Accountabilities
* Carry out sampling, field testing, and specimen preparation of Concrete, Asphalt, and Quarry products according to British/European standards and company procedures.
* Investigate and report quality issues at relevant sites and depots to technical and operations teams, including:
* Concrete, Asphalt, and Aggregate sampling, testing, and preparation
* Preliminary investigations at plants or customer sites
* Review water demands in RMC including plant M.C testing
* Assess site practices and truck delivery issues
* Review product consistency variances
* Raise NCRs and Near Hits as appropriate
* Challenge behaviors that negatively impact safety and quality
* Assist with transportation of test specimens
