The Guildhall is the administration centre for members of the City Council as well as a visitor attraction for the city. You will be part of a team who are responsible for setting up rooms for events, ready to host visitors and Council and Committee meetings, as well as delivering the day-to-day facilities operations. The beautiful Grade 1 listed building is also available for external hirers wishing to hold their wedding, event, conference, or meeting. The successful candidate(s) will also be the first point of contact for potential hirers of rooms at the Guildhall. If you have a passion for, and experience of working as part of a team to deliver the day to day facilities operations of the Guildhall and work with hirers of the Guildhall to ensure their event/function is a success and meets with their expectations then we would love to hear from you. The working hours of this role are based on a 4 week rota and average 37 hours per week. This includes working one Saturday every 4 weeks. Please see example of a 1 week rota attached. We are either looking for one full time postholder or two part time postholders. The part time posts will consist of between 16 – 21 average hours per week. The allocation of part time hours is subject to discussion at interview. The role requires the successful candidate(s) to be flexible in their working hours to suit the needs of the business.
