We are currently seeking a highly capable and experienced Credit Controller to join a dynamic finance team based in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a strong background in credit control, looking to further develop their career within a fast-paced, commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively manage a portfolio of B2B client accounts to ensure timely recovery of outstanding debts
Support the Credit Control Manager with day-to-day activities and reporting
Analyse aged debtor reports to identify risk areas and recommend appropriate recovery strategies
Advise clients on resolving arrears while maintaining strong professional relationships
Ensure all collections activity adheres to internal policies and compliance requirements
Process and reconcile sales ledger transactions accurately and efficiently
Work effectively to tight deadlines and manage priorities in a high-volume environment
Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar Credit Control position, ideally within a B2B setting
Strong understanding of accounting techniques, particularly sales ledger functions
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Demonstrates key traits of a successful Credit Controller: resilience, tenacity, accuracy, and customer focus
Additional Information:
This role is fully office-based during the probation period, moving to a hybrid working model thereafter
Salary up to £29,000, dependent on experience
