About Our Client

Job Description
* Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
* Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
* Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
* Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
* Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
* Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
* Report any issues or malfunctions to the Engineering & Manufacturing department.
* Keep records of operations, maintenance and relevant data in logbooks.
The Successful Applicant
A successful CNC Setter/Operator should have:
* Proficiency in operating CNC machinery and tooling.
* Experience and knowledge of working in a similar role within a precision engineering/manufacturing environment is desirable.
* Experience and knowledge of setting and operating CNC Machinery
* Experience in 5 axis machining / Mill turns.
* MAZAK machining experience (preferred but not essential)
* Use of Mazatrol
* Use of FANUC controls
* Experience of one-off production
* Tooling measurement experience
