Pay: £83.85 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30-15:30
We are currently recruiting for a Nursery Assistant to work within a mainstream primary school based in Risca. We’re looking for an educator who is energetic, vibrant, and passionate about working with children and supporting them throughout their education. The role will consist of supporting children on a 1:1 basis and within small intervention groups which will focus on their Literacy and Numeracy development.
What will the role consist of?
Assist the class teacher in implementing activities for the children to help develop their cognitive development
Provide support and assistance to the children during classroom and outdoor activities
Help create a positive learning environment for all pupils
Support the pupils with their social and emotional development
Liase with the class teacher on the children’s progression
Assist the class teacher with the implementation of positive behaviour management
Support the children with their personal care needs
Maintain accurate records of pupil’s progression throughout the day to ensure that effective communication regarding the pupil is delivered to the parent/guardian upon collection
Being a “key person” for a group of children, ensuring that their care and development needs are being met at all times
