Bring People Together, Help Rebuild Lives - Join Omagh & Prospects CWSAt Omagh & Prospects CWS, we deliver therapeutic group support and 1:1 interventions to adults aged 18 - 65 with a wide range of mental health and addiction recovery needs.The people we support are working to rebuild confidence, reconnect with their community, and learn how to manage their wellbeing on their own terms - and you’ll be right beside them.This is a role where you’ll co-create groups, build trust, and support people through highs and lows. No two days look the same - and that’s exactly what makes it so meaningful.


Responsibilities

* Build trusting, professional relationships with service users, supporting them in decision-making and personal development.
* Deliver care and support within housing or community based services, ensuring a social inclusion approach.
* Actively listen and communicate effectively to meet the needs of service users and colleagues.
* Encourage service user involvement, fostering independence and engagement in their care.
* Plan and coordinate group/individual activities, ensuring the best outcomes for service users and stakeholders.


Skills and Qualifications

* A full current driving licence and access to a car. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence. Business Insurance will be a requirement for this post.
* Be educated to QCF/NVQ Level 2, or equivalent, in a related subject e.g. Care and 6 months paid experience supporting people within a health and social care setting.
* OR: A minimum of 12 months paid experience supporting people within a health and social care setting.
* Have proven experience of motivating, supporting and mentoring Service Users.
* Have experience of developing / assisting and running group based activities / programmes.
* Experience of maintaining service user and agency records.
* Working knowledge of using IT systems.


Further Information

Role is based in Omagh CWS and the successful applicant will be expected to work across both Omagh & Prospects Community Wellbeing Service.Location: J B Anderson House, Room 6, 1st Floor, 43a Market Street, Omagh, Co-Tyrone, BT78 1EETo be flexible and work such hours as required by the post in order to meet the needs of the service.
