Smartedge’s Client is looking for an individual to help with their EUC Support / Desktop Support Engineer @ UK (London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Tadcaster, Hereford & Ledbury )--5 Days Onsite


Experince Required :


* Provide on-site first and second-level desktop support to end users (hardware, software, printers, mobile devices).
* Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and common applications.
* Application software installation and troubleshooting (M365, CAD, and anything on the approved software list)
* Handle IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities and setup of new devices.
* Coordinate with the service desk to escalate or resolve complex issues.
* Manage local user accounts, device configurations, and perform software installations.
* Joiners, Movers, Leavers – end to end process management
* Security Incidents - handle security incidents
* Maintain inventory of IT assets and assist with hardware audits.
* Support video conferencing equipment and meeting room technology.
* Ensure compliance with IT policies, security protocols, and data protection guidelines.
* Document support activities, resolutions, and updates in the ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow).
* Liaise with third-party vendors for hardware replacements and repairs when required.
* Provide hands-and-feet support for network, server, or telephony equipment under guidance from central teams.
* Data Storage Maintenance: Engineers are responsible for hands-on maintenance of data storage, including swapping out backup tapes.
* 2–5 years of experience in a desktop or end-user support role.
* Strong knowledge of Windows OS (10/11), Microsoft Office 365, and common enterprise applications.
* Familiarity with Active Directory, network troubleshooting, and remote support tools.
* Basic understanding of ITIL practices and incident/request management.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage tasks proactively.
* Experience with hardware troubleshooting and peripheral setup (printers, scanners, docking stations).
