We are looking for a Maintenance Joiner to join our Building Services Team in Derby.
Working as a Maintenance Joiner you will be responsible for carrying out interior and external maintenance joinery including small works to a high standard.
What you'll do:
1. Interpret and work from instructions, drawings and specifications appropriate to his trade, without supervision.
2. Set out new work using relevant tools and materials without supervision.
3. Experience in the machining of timber and fabrication of new joinery.
4. Carry out repairs to ironmongery, blinds, door furniture and glazing.
5. Key cutting.
6. Cut and construct metal framing systems.
7. Prepared to work at high levels on scaffolding.
8. Be able to work on small work schemes without supervision.
9. Ad-hoc on call for emergency work.
What you'll bring to the role:
10. A recognised apprenticeship with a minimum of City & Guilds craft certificate/ NVQ Level 3 IN Carpentry / Joinery and proven experience in the trade.
11. Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation.
12. Knowledge of COSHH would be an advantage.
13. Construction skill card holder
14. Full driving licence
