It consists of 13 self-contained flats surrounding a luscious green outdoor area. Inside is a central hub which includes a kitchen, lounge, dining area, laundry facilities and 2 television areas. This Building also houses the offices for the manager and staff. The Green staff support 11 friendly and social residents with a wide range of interests. They have a wide range of interests. This includes volunteering at our on-site stables, going shopping, walking around Ravenswood village, pop music, cycling, music, TV, and films. The people we support communicate verbally, at different levels. Makaton, PECS and objects of reference are also used by some of the residents. Your Role at Norwood: As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in empowering individuals with learning disabilities and autism to lead independent and fulfilling lives. Your responsibilities will include: Guiding and supporting individuals in their day-to-day activities. Encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests. Accompanying individuals to routine appointments. Teaching essential life skills like budgeting, shopping, and managing bills. Assisting with personal care and, if required, administering medication. Contributing to household tasks such as cleaning and cooking.
