Canon UK is looking for an experienced Team Leader to manage their new Digital Sales team from their offices in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity to accelerate your sales management career and lead a brand-new team focused on digital-first customer engagement and sales. You will be responsible for managing a team selling Canon's IMS solutions portfolio to public sector and commercial prospects and customers.
The role will also be responsible for the delivery of some Information Management Solutions (IMS) portfolio to new and existing customer and opportunity to lead by example for the team.
Responsibilities
* Sales Strategy & Execution: Design and implement IMS-led outreach strategies tailored to desk-based selling. Set and monitor KPIs focused on customer engagement, IMS response rates, lead generation and conversion, and revenue targets.
* Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, onboard, and train team members with a focus on developing new business opportunities, understanding Canon’s IMS propositions, effective customer communication and digital selling. Provide ongoing coaching with emphasis on skill development and career progression. Define and drive approach and actions to win targeted accounts for the IMS product set whether new or existing.
* Salesforce CRM Ownership: Ensure accurate and timely data entry into Salesforce. Use dashboards and reports to track team performance and pipeline health. Leverage Salesforce insights to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
* Customer Engagement & Demonstration Skills: Oversee high-quality, timely IMS interactions with prospects and customers. Coach the team on delivering compelling product/solution demonstrations via Microsoft Teams. Ensure team members tailor demonstrations to customer needs and objectives. Build strong relationships through consistent digital communication.
* Process Optimisation: Streamline IMS workflows, templates, and demonstration scripts for efficiency. Implement best practices for desk-based selling and digital engagement.
* Reporting & Communication: Provide regular team performance updates to sales leadership. Share insights and recommendations to improve end-to-end IMS processes based on Salesforce data and customer feedback. Share best practice and business wins back across the wider business.

* Ideally having previously experience of selling software IT & Business process owners

up to £37,000 (base) dependent on experience + £12,000 (OTE) £49,000 total potential earnings
