About the Role Sodexo is seeking a motivated and reliable Cook/Chef Assistant to join our team at Strathallan School, one of Scotland's leading independent boarding and day schools. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced catering environment and takes pride in delivering high standards of food service and customer care. Working as part of a supportive team, you will help provide an exceptional dining experience for pupils, staff, and visitors while ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times. What you’ll do: Prepare and present food to the required standards. Assist with food preparation and service. Replenish food during service periods. Deliver excellent customer service at all times. Maintain clean and tidy work areas throughout the day and at the end of each shift. Clear and clean service areas following meal periods. Assist with stock control, deliveries, and the safe storage of food, including allergen management and stock rotation. Ensure all food safety, health and safety, and company procedures are followed. Support hospitality functions and school events, including occasional evening and weekend work. Report any incidents, accidents, near misses, food safety concerns, or equipment issues promptly.
