Your Role as a KS1 Class Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of KS1 students with SEN. Use a range of communication and teaching strategies to support children with autism, speech & language needs, and learning difficulties. Work closely with SENCOs, therapists, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for each child. Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and structured learning environment. Track student progress and implement EHCP targets effectively. Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies. Support students' social, emotional, and communication development through creative and multi-sensory learning approaches. Who We’re Looking For: ✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Primary or SEN specialism preferred. ✅ Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in KS1 or Early Years. ✅ A patient, nurturing, and adaptable teaching style to support diverse learning needs. ✅ A strong understanding of EHCPs, differentiated learning, and behaviour management strategies. ✅ Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance student learning and development. ✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
