This role is a wonderful opportunity to join the commissioning team in Barking and Dagenham to support our market sustainability and commissioning responsibilities.
In this role you will support the Adult Commissioning portfolio and wider Commissioning department in the delivery of its objectives. In particular the current priorities of this postholder will focus on market sustainability within Adult Social Care. Some of your areas of responsibility will include but not be limited to: delivering best value for money, market research (including local and national bench-marking), financial forecasting and engaging with care providers to negotiate fair and sustainable rates. You will use data and evidence to support commissioning decisions.
About you
Working closely with commissioners (including those from other local authorities), partners, providers, social workers, health partners, voluntary sector partners and residents - you will be an excellent communicator, have strong financial skills and be committed to ensuring a sustainable market considering best value for money. You will have good knowledge of commissioning and Adult Social Care, and experience in financial related activity within care and support.
