We are looking for an Information Governance / Freedom of Information Officer to join our Information Governance team. The Information Governance / Freedom of Information Officer will work with the Information Governance Manager, Senior Information Governance Risk Officer and Caldicott Guardian to ensure that the organisation complies with the Data Protection Act (UK GDPR), Freedom of Information Act and the Environmental Information Regulations
Main duties of the job
The post holder will help co-ordinate the Trust's self-assessment against national standards for Information Governance, educate and inform emp-loyees about their own responsibilities for acting within the law and ensure that the public and staff are informed of their rights under the Act. Furthermore, the post-holder will be responsible for ensuring employees comply with all aspects of the Freedom of Information Act and Environmental Information Regulations as well as helping to develop and maintain the Trust's publication scheme.
