Assistant General Manager – Windsor Castle
Salary: £40,000–£42,000 per annum
Shifts: any 5 days out of 7
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Role Overview
The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing the cafe at Windsor Castle.
Responsibilities
* Oversee operational function, providing direction and structure to the team and ensuring high product and service standards.
* Build and maintain client relationships by meeting regularly, problem solving and forward‑planning.
* Ensure customer experience meets highest standards front and back of house.
* Continuously improve sales and service.
* Manage finance and budget, including forecasting, cost control and planning.
* Support and manage team performance through evaluations, listening, training, and mentoring.
* Maintain high levels of food hygiene and health & safety.
Ideal Candidate
* Experience working in a public space.
* Experience in high‑volume and multi‑site operations.
* Excellent communicator who can motivate and inspire.
* Strong financial and commercial awareness to ensure continued success.
* Passion for food.
