Roving Ambassador (Facilities Assistant), Mitie for Lloyds Banking Group, Halifax
Salary: £26,500 per annum
Availability required: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
Reporting to: Regional FOH Lead



Role Overview:

As a Roving Ambassador (Facilities Assistant), your mission is to craft a seamless 5-star experience for visitors and colleagues while supporting the Front of House Manager and Facilities Manager in proactively managing the workspace. With exceptional service and attention to detail, you will ensure every interaction leaves a lasting impression. You should be highly organized, independent, and skilled at developing meaningful relationships with clients and stakeholders. You will handle AV queries, conduct floor walks, and liaise with workstreams to resolve issues impacting colleague experience. This physically demanding role requires spending much time on your feet and being a natural problem solver.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Own the setup and reset of meeting rooms and event spaces according to specified layouts.
2. Greet and assist visitors and colleagues professionally, providing concierge-level service.
3. Manage key areas, ensuring touchpoints and colleague/client-facing areas meet standards.
4. Handle visitor check-ins and check-outs smoothly.
5. Proactively manage queues to enhance arrival and departure experiences.
6. Support facilities management and the FOH team in workspace management and compliance.
7. Provide first-class AV support, performing regular checks on AV equipment.
8. Maintain vigilance to ensure safety for colleagues and visitors.


Main Duties:

1. Maintain professionalism and adhere to company policies.
2. Communicate effectively, resolving requests efficiently.
3. Perform floor walks, service audits, and log work orders.
4. Build rapport with frequent visitors and act as a host.
5. Ensure VIP guests receive exceptional service.
6. Respond to colleague queries across platforms promptly.
7. Act as a visible point of service within the office.
8. Coordinate responses to issues with support teams.
9. Collaborate with workplace experience teams on initiatives and events.
10. Escort approved contractors on site.
11. Maintain records, prepare reports, and manage office supplies.
12. Act as the point of contact in the absence of the Facilities Manager.
13. Support team training and uphold service standards.


Qualifications:

* Minimum 2 years experience in prestigious corporate or high-end hotels.
* Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Immaculate grooming and personal presentation.
* Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Teams, Chrome; experience with Condeco.
* Comfortable with AV equipment (microphones, speakers, docking stations).
* Ability to handle high query volume across platforms.
* Customer service mindset aligned with a 5-star hotel standard.
* SIA Licence to be provided.
