Key Responsibilities
1. Work on design, implementation and verification of systems/subsystems
2. Responsible for providing support in development and testing activities of other engineers that involve several interdependencies
3. Critical and/or high visibility customer support
4. Participate in technical discussions within the team and with other groups within Business Units associated with specified projects
5. Willing to work on additional tasks and responsibilities that will contribute towards team, department and company goals
6. Successfully convey information to stakeholders at many levels related to the position
7. Work effectively with senior engineers within Business Unit
8. Provide guidance and mentoring to more junior engineers
Job Requirements
9. Strong programming skills in Go/C/C++ with understanding of OOPS, as well as a scripting language (Python/Shell script)
10. Experience working in File systems, storage protocols, backup applications, databases, etc.
11. Experience in system side programming preferred
12. Experience in building microservices based solutions (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.) preferred
13. Strong general understanding of concepts related to computer architecture, data structures and standard programming practices
14. The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to meet aggressive goals and high-quality standards is required.
15. Strong aptitude for learning new technologies
16. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
17. Creative and analytical approach to problem solving
Education
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or equivalent work experience.
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is [$138,700] - [$195,000] and will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
