Overview
Working 30 hours per week, the Day Nurse will play an important role in supporting residents' health, wellbeing, and dignity. With a focus on safe and effective nursing practice, this position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference every day in a supportive and professional environment.
Responsibilities
* Deliver person-centred care in line with residents' individual care plans.
* Safely administer medications and monitor their effectiveness.
* Complete regular health and wellbeing checks throughout the day.
* Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and documentation.
* Respond promptly and professionally to clinical emergencies.
* Work collaboratively with carers, therapists, doctors, and other professionals.
* Build positive relationships with residents and their families.
* Monitor and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or mental health.
* Promote safeguarding, infection prevention, and high standards of hygiene in line with CQC requirements.
* Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and respectful care environment.
Qualifications
* Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN).
* Strong clinical skills in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
* Previous experience in a nursing home setting.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
* Compassionate and patient-focused approach to nursing care.
* Willingness to engage in training and professional development.
* Ability to use medical equipment confidently and maintain accurate records.
