Overview
Strategic Partnership Manager (Health). We’re looking for a talented relationship manager to help us build stronger, more strategic partnerships to advance the University’s health and wellbeing research and innovation ambitions. This is a brand-new role designed to enhance how we collaborate—making our partnerships more seamless, valuable, and purpose-driven. You’ll shape a more intentional approach to leveraging our strengths, working with academics and wider colleagues to support a formalised outcomes-driven partnerships model. This role is internally known as Partnership Manager.
For informal discussions, please contact: Stephanie Bagsworth, Associate Director (Philanthropy) scb208@bath.ac.uk or Professor Fiona Gillison sppfbg@bath.ac.uk. Stage 1 interviews will be held remotely on Thursday, 9 October. Final interviews will take place in person on Wednesday, 15 October.
Your Focus Will Be On
* Partnership development and innovation—expanding, strengthening and maintaining relationships with healthcare organisations including those in our region: BSW Hospitals Group (the Great Western Hospital in Swindon, the Royal United Hospital in Bath and the Salisbury Foundation Trust) and BSW Integrated Care Board.
* Delivering excellent service—acting as the central point of contact for partners, helping them navigate the university and access the right people and resources, and vice versa for our academic community to connect with partners.
* Defining what excellent partnership working looks like—helping us build a blueprint for stronger intent and growth in this area. This involves spotting innovation and commercial opportunities to develop value and income-generating relationships. Key to this is building and managing an academic network so collaborative opportunities and shared value are unlocked.
About You
We’re looking for:
* Someone who is passionate about the University’s health and wellbeing vision and enjoys supporting and coaching academics to build their confidence in working with external partners.
* A connector and relationship builder who thrives in complexity—internally and externally.
* A strategic thinker and influencer who brings clarity, energy, resilience and momentum to partnership work.
