Hays Education is looking for a Teaching Assistant who specialises in Challenging Behaviour to work in a provision in Leicester for pupils who are unable to access mainstream education. This is a term-time only position. As a Teaching Assistant working with Hays, you will have the opportunity to work in schools local to you whilst retaining control of your work-life balance.Your new roleIn your new job as a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you'll mentor pupils throughout their school day: from managing behaviour in the classroom to supporting during transition times. You'll have the privilege of being a positive role model for pupils and be able to offer 1:1 support for individuals who need great guidance. The pupils you support will have a range of additional needs including SEMH, ASD and ADHD to manage their behaviour. By working with Hays, you'll have access to both part-time and full-time opportunities in SEND and mainstream schools across Leicestershire. You’re someone who thrives in challenging environments and you enjoy adapting to new situations. You’ll have supported with young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASD) and or
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Most importantly, you’ll be confident stepping into a new school and ready to support pupils with a range of needs.What you'll get in return
