SEN / SEND Tutor, Warwickshire at Targeted Provision
Overview
We are looking for SEN / SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Warwickshire. This role involves 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with SEND, SEMH, and other additional educational needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner.
Responsibilities
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other educational needs referred to Targeted Provision.
* Support local authorities and schools by assisting students in their educational and social-emotional journey.
* Deliver flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring to meet individual needs.
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session and provide engaging, holistic sessions that advance educational and social-emotional development.
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress.
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or other educational needs
* Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* UK residence and right to work (including for remote/online assignments)
It is a strict requirement that you promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
Employment status
* This position involves engaging with us as a Worker, to provide short-term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service with payment via PAYE
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
