Attendance Mentor
As Attendance Mentor you will monitor and improve the attendance and punctuality of all students in Years 7–11 across the Academy, with a focus on SEN & Disadvantage, working as part of the wider Attendance Team. You will have excellent communication skills, a proactive way of working and a desire to support students and their families to attend school and improve attendance.
Hours: 25 hours per week (5 hours per day, Mon–Fri), term time plus 1 week (39 working weeks per year). Start time between 8:00–9:00am, negotiable at interview/offer stage.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and improve attendance and punctuality for students in Years 7–11, with a focus on SEN & Disadvantage.
* Work as part of the Attendance Team to support students and families in attending school.
* Communicate effectively with parents, students and staff at all levels to promote attendance and engagement.
Qualifications and skills
* Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to confidently converse with parents, students and staff.
* Ability to work as part of a team to support school-wide attendance objectives.
