The Psychology department is recruiting for a Senior Lecturer in Counselling Psychology. You will need the knowledge, skills and experience in teaching counselling psychology to undergraduate and postgraduate students. You will need energy and enthusiasm across the different aspects of your subject area and determination to ensure student success.
You will have a proven track record of teaching Counselling Psychology and experience of applied knowledge in these areas. You will be committed to enhancing the student experience and contributing to the performance and development of the wider team.
As a Senior Lecturer in Counselling Psychology, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education and training to undergraduate and postgraduate students. You will have the opportunity to contribute to curriculum development, engage in scholarly activity and research, and provide mentorship to staff and students pursuing careers in counselling psychology.
You will have a doctorate and be an HCPC registered practitioner of counselling psychology (or clinical) and psychotherapy or be eligible for registration within an agreed timeframe.
We will consider practitioners who wish to pursue a dual career in academia and professional practice. Details of preferred time schedule should be stated in your application. (e.g. Full time 1.0 FTE or Part Time (0.4 or 0.6)
Based at the City Campus in Wolverhampton, this is a face to face teaching role with requirement to be on campus throughout the week.
