The project: We are looking for a strong design management professional, with a background in containment-level laboratory facilities, to lead the design on a new-build life sciences project on the Wiltshire/Hampshire border. Our values shape the way we consult, and define the people we want to join us on our journey: You’ll need to have: Experience of working on large-scale, life sciences projects, upwards of >£250m. Experience working with a Tier 1 main contractor. Relevant experience to manage the discharge of building regulations principal designer duties on behalf of Mace. You’ll also have Membership of RIBA, MICE, CIBSE, CIOB, RICS, CIAT or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development. Extensive experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the life sciences sector. Deep construction and consultancy expertise. Knowledge of building safety legislation, building standards, construction contracts, professional appointments and health and safety legislation. Directing and management experience of large, diverse teams. Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders. Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
