Overview
Reporting to the Divisional Director of Operations, the General Manager is responsible for the operational and strategic management of a large, complex directorate across the Trust. The role leads service delivery and improvement at scale, managing multiple services/sites and influencing regional and system-wide developments.
Responsibilities
* Shape and implement trust strategic and corporate objectives.
* Align the directorate closely with Imperial College, developing links with the Academic Health Science Centre and college counterparts.
* Deliver all agreed outputs as set out in the business plan, including performance indicators in clinical outcomes, clinical efficiency, financial sustainability, and productivity gains.
* Ensure the directorate has clearly defined performance objectives supported by a management regime to deliver continuous improvement.
* Develop and implement effective reporting arrangements to track performance against targets and proactively manage variances.
* Provide regular reports to the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Directors and lead follow-up actions.
* Hold Lead Clinicians, Lead Nurses and Service Managers accountable through regular performance review meetings.
