Your new company, Hays Accountancy & Finance, is recruiting a Finance Business Partner on behalf of our client, an organization supporting individuals and families living with disabilities, autism, and brain injuries. This role is crucial in ensuring organizational effectiveness, compliance with reporting and regulatory requirements, and supervising various finance functions. Key responsibilities include:
1. Contributing to finance improvement plans.
2. Assisting with grant applications and claims.
3. Supporting grant and verification audits.
4. Leading supplier contract reviews and renewals, including tender processes.
5. Preparing monthly management accounts and variance reports.
6. Overseeing budgeting and forecasting processes.
7. Providing project management support.
8. Ensuring statutory compliance (e.g., Companies House, Charity Commission).
9. Promoting GDPR compliance and cybersecurity.
10. Line management and staff training, mentoring, and staff development.
Qualifications and experience required:
1. Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, CIPFA, or ACCA).
2. At least 3 years' experience in a finance role within a large, diverse organization.
3. Experience in management accounts, forecasting, and budgeting.
4. Knowledge of ISO or other quality management systems.
Desirable criteria include experience with grant funding and staff management.
