Senior Consultant-RE Strategy & Workplace Consulting – Turner & Townsend
We are seeking an experienced Consultant (senior‑principal level) in London to support our Healthcare and Defence sector projects, playing a critical role in providing real‑estate and workplace strategies to key clients.
Reporting to the local Real Estate Consulting Lead, you will lead and support various concurrent projects, managing your own workload both independently and as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
Recent projects include a £4bn capital transformation estate strategy for a UK hospital trust, evidence‑based funding applications, business cases for regeneration, and innovative workplace solutions.
Your Background
* Experience working on built‑environment projects as a senior consultant or project manager
* Consultative background in Strategic Estates or Organisational Development
* Experience on transformational programmes and projects in the public or private sectors, with a focus on healthcare, government or defence
Essential Functions
* Strategic thinker with significant understanding of workplace market trends.
* Engage with client leadership, conduct interviews, run workshops, analyse surveys, and present findings.
* Analyse client data and translate business processes into workplace models and spatial requirements.
* Manage workplace innovation projects to meet fee objectives, organise resources, and handle invoicing.
* Communicate project progress to clients and the business.
* Develop options, finalise concepts, and prepare approval documents.
* Support development of workplace improvement proposals, stacking options, and design reviews.
* Help develop a thought‑leadership strategy for the workplace consulting offer.
* Identify workplace strategy opportunities and contribute to bid proposals.

* Strong time management across multiple projects.
* Excellent written and verbal communication and customer‑service skills.
* Ability to adapt best practices and industry innovations to client needs.
* Effective collaboration in a matrix management environment.
* Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
* Knowledge of WELL/LEED principles.
* Understanding of post‑COVID workplace trends and thought‑leadership literature.
Qualifications
* 5+ years in workplace strategy, design/interior design, corporate real‑estate occupier consulting, or business analysis.
* Degree qualified preferred but not mandatory.
* Relevant professional qualifications: PRINCE2, MSP, MRICS, APMPQ, Better Business Cases, PROSCI certified, etc.
* Project‑management experience in workplace or real‑estate consulting.
* Experience using technology and workplace/real‑estate data.
* Experience engaging stakeholders in complex environments.
