Description
The Fleet Rotation Analyst will directly report to the Head of Fleet Rotation primarily supporting holding cost and utilisation optimization through fleet rotation. Main responsibilities will include:
1. Owning FARO (Fleet optimization system) fleet data input, optimization, analysis and providing recommendations on optimum fleet rotation to heads of fleet rotation and procurement.
2. Month-end review and reconciliation of fleet systems, analysis and forecasting of fleet and related costs for respective period forecasting.
3. Weekly and monthly support on fleet rotation preparation. Working with head of fleet rotation to review weekly fleet plan in line with business requirements.
4. Reconciliation of fleet rotation data with systems, frequent reviews with fleet coordinators to ensure accurate reporting.
5. Ensuring car group mix matches demand, utilizing rotation knowledge to challenge for optimum fleet costs whilst supporting line manager to ensure target demand is provided accurate supply.
6. Collecting, analyzing, and reporting data on slack days, providing recommendations, and challenging for improvement on rotation slack.
7. Communicating fleet rotational operations to senior finance and non-finance stakeholders
8. Supporting in-fleeting and de-fleeting activities and period reporting for acquisitions, McNicoll, Zipcar & ACL
9. Able to manipulate large data sets into clear and concise information. Confident ownership and presentation of information to senior and junior stakeholders alike, representing the head of fleet rotation and the UK fleet department.
Skills and technical capability:
10. Good knowledge of Car Rental Operations & business processes
11. Basic knowledge of SQL, other programming languages also considered.
12. Intermediate knowledge of Tableau (Prep & Desktop) and Power BI.
13. Advanced Excel experience (advanced formulas and macros); VBA is a bonus.
14. Experience and knowledge of financial metrics & KPI’s
15. Financial acumen and interest in fleet operations a bonus
16. Part qualified (CIMA) would also be a bonus.
