We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Planner to join us on a fixed term basis for 12 months in our Aberdeen office located in the Prime Four Business Park. As a Senior Planner, you will be a part of the Project Services Team. Your main responsibility will be to provide a proactive and robust planning service throughout project lifecycle from tendering to project closeout within DeepOcean’s guidelines and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Preparation of project plans for assigned projects throughout project lifecycle ensuring successful integration with client plan.
* Ensure project baselines are set and agreed by all stakeholders taking into consideration any scheduling/contractual constraints.
* Establish and maintain the project(s) WBS and coding structure in line with DeepOcean Planning Procedure and Customer specific demands.
* Monitor project progress including preparation of project S-curves and initiating corrective action where required.
* Highlight in timely manner potential schedule risks & opportunities.
* Ownership and optimisation of regional resource forecast taking into consideration all approved and probable work.
* Chair scheduling meetings as required e.g. priorities meeting / 4 week look ahead.
* Work alongside broader members of project controls team e.g. Estimating, Cost Control & Procurement to ensure successful delivery of all client / contractual requirements & continuous improvement.
* Gather accurate progress and expended hours to facilitate productivity reporting.
* Support other client, project or contractual reporting as required.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum 5 years planning experience.
* Proficient in use of Primavera P6.
* Previous subsea experience is beneficial.
* Knowledge of broader project controls remit.
* Experience of using ERP systems.
* Degree qualified in relevant subject is preferable.
* Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
* Self‑motivated with a can‑do attitude.
* Able to deliver high quality outcomes in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.
