The Opportunity
We are hiring talented project managers at junior levels to join our Programme and Project Management team to support ongoing workload and our ambitious growth plans in Birmingham and Nottingham. We are part of a diverse group of Programme and Project Managers in both our city centre offices and are passionate about supporting the sustainable growth and enhancement of the Midlands and seek to apply that enthusiasm to contribute to a vibrant local business community.
We are seeking motivated project professionals to work directly with clients, Arup teams and collaborators on a range of built environment projects and to contribute to developing new business. The roles offer opportunities to develop your skills, working closely with senior colleagues in a wide variety of project and programme management and advisory roles to support our public and private sector clients.

Is this role right for you?
As a junior project manager your role will be to deliver project planning, controls and project management services for the planning, design, procurement and construction of building projects in multiple markets and sectors. You will provide support to senior project managers in the day‑to‑day contract management activities, such as change management, early warnings, risk management, documentation, reporting, invoicing and payments. You’ll also have the opportunity to provide support to business development activities of the group. You will also support coordination with multi‑disciplinary team projects and manage project meetings, preparing reports and presentations.
We are seeking professionals who can demonstrate:
* A relevant degree in a relevant discipline and a member of a relevant professional body or interested in pursuing professional chartership.
* Relevant experience of working in a project management role in the built environment and capital projects and a background in project planning and controls experience.
* Have demonstrable project management knowledge, commercial awareness, and interpersonal skills including communication, influencing and the ability to work collaboratively.
* Knowledge and experience of managing NEC and/or JCT form of contracts.
* Experience in utilising contract administration software (CEMAR, FastDraft).
