Our dedication is demonstrated by the whole council achievement of the Investors in People Standard and always aiming a little higher in our service delivery and improvements West Lothian Council Adult Learning Team is looking to recruit supply creche workers to deliver a safe and caring educational childcare service for the children of parents/carers who are attending daytime activities/courses with West Lothian Council and partner organisations. The role includes: planning and providing an environment which gives each child the opportunity to acquire and develop skills appropriate to his/her age and ability promoting the appropriate type of play to aid each child’s physical, emotional and intellectual development within a two-hour session. Completion of all relevant paperwork and admin tasks, including session registers and risk assessments. Providing feedback to parents and dealing with questions or concerns. This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
