An established and well-respected construction contractor specialising in commercial and industrial groundworks and civil engineering projects across the North West. With a strong pipeline of secured work and long-standing client relationships, the business has built a reputation for delivering high-quality projects safely, on time and within budget.
The Role
Due to continued growth, the company is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of multiple groundworks projects. This is a hands-on role working closely with operational teams, subcontractors and clients, offering excellent exposure across the full project lifecycle.
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
* Managing commercial aspects of commercial & industrial groundworks projects
* Preparing and managing project budgets and cost plans
* Procuring subcontractors and managing subcontract accounts
* Valuations, variations and final accounts
* Monitoring costs and ensuring projects remain commercially viable
* Supporting contract administration and commercial reporting
* Working closely with site teams to drive performance and profitability
The Ideal Candidate
The successful Quantity Surveyor will have:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within groundworks, civils or infrastructure
* Experience working on commercial and/or industrial projects
* Strong understanding of cost control, subcontract management and valuations
* Good commercial awareness and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with site and management teams
* Relevant construction or commercial qualification (desirable but not essential)
