Electrical Engineer
Location: Disley
Salary: £55,000
Hours: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off (×7), followed by 18 days off
What You’ll Be Doing
* Keeping the site running smoothly with preventative and reactive electrical maintenance.
* Troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, including 3-phase AC, motors, pumps, conveyors, and fans.
* Supporting improvement projects, shutdowns, and machinery upgrades.
* Working safely at all times—LOTO, risk assessments, and permit-to-work procedures are key.
* Partnering with production to boost reliability and efficiency.
* Working with external contractors to complete maintenance tasks safely and effectively.
What We’re Looking For
* Apprentice trained
* Strong manufacturing background.
* Experience with DC motors and drives.
* Basic mechanical knowledge and the confidence to tackle simple mechanical tasks.
* Familiarity with DCS/PLC systems for fault finding and routine testing.
* A proactive, safety-focused problem solver who takes pride in doing things right.
