We are two parents working from home with a 14-month-old child. While we’re not quite ready for daycare, we’re hoping to welcome a babysitter into our home who can care for our child while we work nearby.
At the moment, we’re juggling childcare between the two of us, but we’d love to slowly and thoughtfully integrate a babysitter into our family life. We’re looking to start with around 4 hours per week, with the possibility of increasing hours over time as our child feels comfortable and a relationship naturally develops.
We’re hoping to find someone who would enjoy becoming part of our weekly rhythm and routines, and who values building trust and connection at a gentle pace.
A few things that are especially important to us:
- We are a screen-free household for our child (no TV or screens until age three).
- We care deeply about healthy, secure attachments and shame-free parenting.
- Our child is encouraged to feel and express all emotions, and we’re looking for someone who responds with patience, empathy, and calm support.
- A nurturing, warm, and attentive approach to caregiving is very important to us.
We’re looking for someone kind and reliable who enjoys spending time with toddlers and is open to gradually building a comfortable, trusting relationship with our child and our family. If this sounds like a good fit for you, we’d love to connect.
