Job Title: Material Management Process Owner
Duration of Secondment (or Fixed Term Contract): Up to 18 months

In this role you will take ownership of materials processes that sit at the heart of our manufacturing network, ensuring the right materials are in the right place at the right time. You will shape how we plan, source, and sustain direct materials, applying digital insights and Lean practices to improve reliability, safety, and cost. You will work side by side with manufacturing,procurementand supplier teams to translate demand signals into confident supply, resolving issues fast and building resilient systems for the future.
This is a chance to evolve how materials management works across a complex, fast-moving portfolio. From strengthening supplier relationships to leading KPI performance, your decisions will help safeguard production, reducewasteand support the delivery of new medicines to patients.
Accountabilities:
1. Process Ownership: Act as local process owner for assigned materials processes; manage business processes in line with global BPM standards to drive consistency,controlandcontinuous improvements.
2. Leading Change: deliver training and support team engagement to deliver projects contributing towards the strategic direction of the team and function
3. Standardized Ways of Working: Ensure all work is carried outin accordance withapproved and established processes and procedures.
4. Demand and Supply Coordination: Apply insight into system-generated forecasts and align direct material supply to production demand and agreed stock levels, keeping inventory within budget and preventing shortages.
5. Stakeholder and Supplier Partnerships: Build and develop effective relationships with Manufacturing PETs, UK Operations Sourcing and Supply Teams and Supplier Managers or suppliers; share and follow up forecasts; organize orparticipatein supplier meetings; work with Operations Procurement and ESM to secure strong supplier relations.
6. Lean Problem Solving: Apply LEAN ways of working, leading cross-team problem solving for materials issue resolution and sustained improvements, aligning to SQSCP.
7. KPI Development:IdentifyKey Metrics to help drive improvements in Material Management Ways of Working

17. Knowledge of Macclesfield’s packing lines and current locations would be desirable but not essential
18. Working knowledge of SAPECC
19. LEAN capability including experience of business process management
