Overview
This post is for 3 days a week (Wednesday – Friday) and is based at the Yeatman Hospital, Sherborne, covering the surrounding area. The post holder will need a valid driving licence and use of a car to assess and monitor patients in their homes, other community settings, and at the CMHT base.
Applications from candidates that require current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position.
To provide a comprehensive accessible and responsive mental health service to Adults and their families within a defined locality.
Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive, accessible, and responsive mental health services to adults and their families within a defined locality.
* Support the team and locality leader in the implementation of the DHUFT Mental Health Strategy.
* Continue to develop clinical, team, and service evaluation and delivery of the service.
* Contribute to effective multi-disciplinary working within the Community Mental Health Service and liaise with community, primary, other secondary and tertiary services and agencies to provide holistic care based on individual needs and service development.
* Provide informal and formal clinical and managerial supervision to other staff, including qualified and unqualified health care support workers and students.
* Assess and monitor patients in home and community settings as well as at the CMHT base.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Reliable, committed, dynamic, and motivated professional with excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work.
* Experience of working in a community mental health environment is useful but not essential; you should be able to apply engagement and recovery philosophies in your work with service users.
* Willingness and ability to drive and travel to community settings.
* Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required. The Trust will cover the DBS cost; applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service may present a valid DBS certificate instead of a new check.
* Relevant supervision provision for staff in the post.
