MAP Social Worker (Front Door) - Surrey County Council | Woking | £42 p/h Umbrella | Hybrid
We are currently recruiting for an experienced MAP Social Worker to join Surrey County Council within their Multi-Agency Partnership (MAP) / Front Door Service, based in Woking.
This is a fast-paced safeguarding role focused on screening referrals, assessing risk, and multi-agency decision making to ensure children receive the right level of intervention at the right time.

Pay Rate: £42 per hour (Umbrella)
Working Pattern: Hybrid / Office-based (service dependent)
About the Role
You will be part of Surrey's front-door safeguarding service, working alongside partner agencies to make timely and informed decisions regarding children's referrals. This is a non-caseholding, high-impact decision-making role.
Key Responsibilities
Screening and triaging incoming safeguarding referrals
Undertaking risk assessments and threshold decision making
Liaising with Police, Health, Education, and other agencies
Identifying appropriate next steps (Early Help / CIN / CP / Assessment teams)
Ensuring timely safeguarding responses and accurate recording
Essential Requirements
Minimum 3+ years post-qualified experience in a UK Local Authority
Social Work England registration
Strong experience in MASH / Front Door / Assessment / Safeguarding teams
Excellent analytical, decision-making, and communication skills
