Learning Support Assistant – Primary & Secondary SEN
Location: Horsham
Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time
Salary: £89.05 - £110
Hours: Term-time only, school hours (typically 08:30 – 15:30)
The school is a specialist autism provision supporting children and young people on the autistic spectrum through personalised, aspirational education.
Learning Support Assistants work closely with pupils on a one‑to‑one and small‑group basis, supporting learning, communication, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing. Working within a calm, purpose‑built environment near Horsham, LSAs are key members of a collaborative team alongside teachers and therapists, helping pupils build confidence, independence, and essential life skills.

The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing tailored support for pupils with a range of special educational needs
* Working one-to-one and in small groups to support learning and engagement
* Encouraging positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and independence
* Supporting teachers with classroom activities and daily routines
* Helping to create a calm, inclusive, and structured learning environment
* Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

* Experience working with children or young people (education, care, support, youth work, or similar)

* Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs
* A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and wellbeing
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
