Job Opportunity: Health and Safety Lead Due to the company’s ongoing expansion and healthy project pipeline, they are now seeking to hire a new member for the health and safety team. The successful candidate will lead the team, implementing company health and safety policies, preparing risk assessments, and conducting on-site inspections to ensure safety compliance and legal adherence.
You will work within the infrastructure division on various projects, including the multi-utility diversion works for HS2, one of the UK's largest and most challenging rail construction projects. The initial contract is 3.5 years, with potential for extension.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring staff are aware of their statutory duties and responsibilities, providing advice as needed.
Conducting accident/incident investigations following company procedures, analyzing data, and making recommendations to prevent recurrence.
Requirements Experience in utilities with tier 1 or tier 2 companies, demonstrating stability (minimum 3 years at each company).
Experience in highways maintenance, water, or general utilities.
NEBOSH General Certificate.
UK driving license.
Experience working for a tier 2 civil engineering contractor with a stable employment record.
Rewards and Benefits Salary range: £70,000 – £80,000 + package. The company is a well-established, financially stable subcontractor, offering long-term stability and growth opportunities.
